Ivana has a 4-year Bachelor of Honours in Sociology from the University of Winnipeg (minor in Conflict Resolution); and is an Aunty, sundancer, pipe carrier, singer, Indigenous life skills coach and Traditional Family Parenting facilitator.
Ivana co-owns Miteh Atoske (Heart Work), with her relative/cousin and works with Indigenous youth in care - mainly young Indigenous womxn and girls. This effort also assists young parents who are navigating through the Child Welfare industry in Canada. Miteh Atoske does a myriad of specialized Indigenous life skills programming and workshops/retreats, utilizing and focused through Indigenous ways of knowing and systems (Ininew/Anishaabe). They offer cultural mentorship, life skills workshops and programming focused on building self-esteem and confidence within Indigenous youth and girls, to help build up and support future leaders and parenting networks within the community.
