A tale of reGranting 3 Sisters
With the regranting process, Seeding Sovereignty and Ancestral Acres Farm & Garden connect with organizations that want to make an impact but don’t necessarily have the infrastructure, access or expertise to reach communities that need it most and then they funnel cash into that grant-making organization.
AAFG worked with 3 Sisters Collective (O’ga Pogeh/Santa Fe, NM) who are focused on Pueblo women centric arts, activism and empowerment. They seek to reindigenize & rematriate Santa Fe!
From 3 Sister Collective:
“We have had a busy summer at Full Circle Farm. Now that we are entering harvest season, we will be using the funds to begin a seed repository to host the heirloom seeds we have collected over the past two years.
We envision a small storage space on the farm that would be erected with the assistance of our youth mentees from Three Sisters Collective and Santa Fe YouthWorks. This storage would ideally be wood construction or adobe and will be an addition to the learning structure being currently constructed on the farm, with the help of our youth.
We look forward to sharing the progress of our farm! Thank you so much for your generous support of our little Indigenous centered, BIPOC farm in O'ga Pogeh, Santa Fe.”
