Days of Honoring

Days of
Honoring

Through art, history, and community voices, we reexamine national holidays and reclaim the narratives behind them.

Interrogate History. Reclaim Memory. Restore Truth.

Interrogate History. Reclaim Memory. Restore Truth.

We’re done celebrating half-truths and sanitized history. It’s time to question who is honored, who is harmed, and whose stories were erased. If the calendar was built to uphold colonial narratives, we can rebuild it to reflect truth.

Our Mission

Days of Honoring is a digital education initiative that disrupts the patriarchal / oppressive narratives perpetuated by dominant western systems that work to erase people, accomplishments and cultures that are deserving of celebration. By truth telling about formally recognized calendar dates to shift the narrative, and by celebrating those who have been intentionally excluded, we move forward with built awareness, demanded representation, and a more socially just calendar that reflects true diversity and the fight for liberation.
