Fighting Food Scarcity and Growing Community

Food scarcity is prevalent within every city in the U.S. and existing critical needs have been exacerbated by the ongoing pandemic and failing and oppressive systems.

Community care in the form of food sharing to meet the needs of our neighbors, is not only possible; it is necessary.

Food sovereignty is blossoming with small community farms and gardens.

Food Distribution!

Ancestral Acres Farm and Garden distributed food to community members in Albuquerque in partnership with Albuquerque Mutual Aid and Queering the Farm.

Land Steward mayam distributed many pounds of lovingly grown vegetables!

Seed Grants!

It takes a village to grow a farm and we want to share in others’ dreams of food sovereignty, reconnection with the Land, and creating community.

Do you have a small garden or farm and would like to apply for an Ancestral Acres Farm and Garden Seed Grant?

Together we can heal the disconnection from personal histories, Indigenous lands and relatives, one another, and our overburdened planet.

As we relearn and remember ourselves as part of the Land and natural world, we will also learn to care for our planet home as we nourish ourselves and those we love.
