25 Days ‘Til Spring Tea Blend
by Steph Dasai, Pareja de Pacha
This blend was created 25 days til’ Spring. The intention was tending to our community leaders as they navigated a difficult and deeply felt topic—I.C.E in our communities. We knew this gathering would unsettle our nervous systems and weigh heavy on our hearts. Each ingredient was chosen with care, representing a facet of our shared resilience and hope.
Ingredients (all dried herbs)
1 cup lemon balm (for relaxing the digestive system)
1 cup milky oats (for calming the nerves and allowing you to be present)
1/2 cup pink and red roses (for emotional balance)
Instructions
Preparation
Grab your measuring tools or hands and let the ancestors measure.Blending
In a large bowl or jar, combine the lemon balm, milky oats, and pink and red roses.Brewing
To brew, use 1 tablespoon of the blend per cup of hot water (about 175°F).
As we sip this blend, we honor the resilience of our communities and the care we extend to one another in difficult times. We thank the medicine for taking care of us.
About Steph and Pareja de Pacha
Pareja de Pacha was born in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, when disaster made one thing painfully clear—crisis doesn’t affect everyone equally. While some had the resources to rebuild, others—especially Queer, People of the Global Majority, and Disabled communities—were left without access to even the most basic care. In that moment, we knew that healing couldn’t wait, and it couldn’t come from outside institutions. It had to come from within the community.
Herbal medicine has always been our birthright, passed down through generations, but capitalism and colonization have turned it into a privilege. We exist to change that. By providing free herbal care, sourcing from local farmers and apothecaries, and eliminating the financial and educational barriers to plant medicine, we ensure that healing stays in the hands of the people. For some, that means delivering herbs directly to their door when travel is impossible. For others, it means showing up at mutual aid markets, community centers, and anywhere care is needed.
Pareja de Pacha is always shifting, always listening, always responding to the real needs of the people we serve. We are not just healers—we are organizers, storytellers, and caretakers of ancestral knowledge. We believe in a future where no one is denied the medicine they need. This is more than herbalism; this is community care in action.
